Are the Caminito del Rey and via ferrata the same?
No. The Caminito is a visitor route of managed paths and boardwalks. Via ferrata is a protected technical vertical activity with its own requirements.
What is the minimum age for the Caminito del Rey?
The current official rule states age 8, proven by official ID. Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and meet the product conditions as well.
Do I need special footwear?
For the Caminito, use secure hiking or closed footwear. Flip-flops and heels are not permitted. For ferrata and climbing, follow the product requirements and guide instructions too.
Can I walk the Caminito both ways?
No. It is a linear route. Plan access and your return if travelling independently, or check what transfers an excursion actually includes.
Are tours available from Málaga and the Costa del Sol?
A town, pickup point and time are confirmed when you select a date and complete your booking. Not every product collects from every area.
What happens in bad weather?
The Caminito operator can alter or close access for safety. Ferrata and climbing also depend on outdoor conditions; the booked product policy applies.
